1 When applying TFR, always apply from the bottom and work up. Turn chemical feed off and cut dirt away with high-pressure water from the bottom up. Then rinse from the top down for a streak free finish.
2 When rinsing vehicles it is best to use cold water. This will allow water to drain from the surface rather than evaporate therby reducing streaks.
3 Put the chemical to good use when clearing the pressure washer prior to rinsing. Use this residue in the lines to ensure dirty areas such as wheels get a good treatment - not the floor.
4 Addition of wax rinse into standard TFR's will provide improved rinse and shine.
5 If your pressure washer has trouble clearing, the chemical feed may not fully switch off. If so, get it serviced. It will improve the finish of the vehicles, speed rinsing and save you money. In the meantime placing the chemical feed in a bucket of clean water will speed up the clearance time of the lance.
6 When used correctly Powerfoam can reduce chemical consumption by 2/3.
7 Finesse is a great dressing, but did you know it can also be used to polish door shuts, door edges and under the bonnet for a great finish. A very versatile product.
8 Finesse is also very effective for re-cleans. Dilute two capfuls of Finesse into a bucket of water. It will clear away dust and dirt, then rinse to give a water repellent polished finish.
9 Blue Window Clean II is a quick and clean glass cleaner. It can use also be used for light duty interior cleans as well. It's incredibly fast and provides a superb streak free natural finish to all interior plastics.
10 When using Diamond Blue, Liquid Gold or Gold Plus to polish the car, use it to polish the side windows as well. This gives glass a great silky feel, crystal clear finish and reduces judder when windows are wound up and down. Don't do the windscreen though, or the rear window if you have a wash/wipe fitted.
11 The alcohol in Nielsen Screewash De-Icer is very effective in removing biro marks from interior fabrics.
12 Leather Lux is a superb cleaner for leather interiors. It can also be used on the plastic interior trim as well, to give a great finish and luxurious leather fragrance to the whole interior of the car.
13 Nielsen One Shot is not just for air conditioner systems. It can be used to provide deep down freshness in normal heating systems, and to the interiors of all vehicles.
14 Add a spot of Odourkill or Caribbean Coconut to your wet vac to keep it smelling clean
15 Periodically cleaning out your wet vac with APC will disinfect it and reduce the tendency for it to develop foul smells.
16 Brakelec III is a superb spot cleaner for fabrics, its low odour and fast drying time make this exceptionally effective.
17 Brakelec III is a very effective remover for chewing gum from fabric, carpets and upholstery.
18 After cleaning your alloy wheels, spray with Beez Neez and buff to add extra sparkle, it also helps to keep wheels cleaner longer and aids cleaning next time. Be careful not to get it on the brake discs though.
19 When applying polish, always use a slightly moistened cloth or sponge, this will improve spreadability, save time and you use less polish so you save money.
20 To reduce the tendency for trim to mark when machine buffing, apply Super A Sheen to the plastic trim beforehand.
21 Alkaline Wash is a superb cleaner for the interior surfaces of tankers. Its low foam, high active easy rinse formula is exceptional.
22 Odourkill and Caribbean Coconut are great deodorisers for waste bins, drains and other areas around the home, as well as the interior of the car.
23 Screewash De-Icer is perfect all year round in the washer bottle. Did you also know you can use it neat in a trigger sprayer as a De-Icer, to quickly disperse ice and frost from vehicle windows.
24 In winter conditions, application of Clear Lube to door locks will help to prevent them freezing when it gets really cold.
25 PO-79 is a great corrosion preventative. Apply to tools to prevent them rusting, especially items such as lawn mowers prior to winter storage.
26 If you ever get an electric shock when getting out of the car, consider cleaning your seats and carpets with NAP Extra or NAP Low Foam, as they are anti static.
27 Application of Super A Sheen with a sponge allows more control, improves finish and saves time.
28 Dressing the kick plate in the car will reduce scuffing.
29 A clean engine can sell a car. Dressing an engine amd engine bay with Choice after cleaning, brightens all rubbers and plastics and makes it look like new.
30 Brakelec III is a great pre-wipe for surfaces prior to painting.
31 When cleaning a vehicle interior, chase the dirt down. Start with the upper surfaces and work down so you won't have to clean anything twice.
32 Nielsen Air Freshener Tags are not only for vehicles, they are great fresheners for the office (and the loo) as well.
33 Unifoam is a superb cleaner for the plastic cases of photo copiers and computers, but don't spray into the keypad or onto flat screens.
34 To add a special finish to rubber floor mats, spray with Rapport after cleaning to restore their new look. As it is silicone free, it will not be slippery.
35 Descaling Acid is very effective in the removal of rust, concrete and mortar from plant and equipment.
36 Car Shampoo and Wax is a great floor cleaner for light mopping and machine buffing. It will not soften or strip polished floors, leaves a great finish and buffs to give a great slip resistant shine.
37 Co-Polymer Remover is a very effective stripper for polished floors. It well remove residues of old polish quickly and effectively.
38 If you have a foam problem with your wet vac, spray a 5-second burst of Car Fresh Sheen into the waste tank. This will help to kill the foam.
39 To keep your Flunkies grit free, cut the top off a Nielsen polish bottle. The cloth can Then be rolled up and inserted to keep it clean when not in use.
40 This will remove any paint from the button, preventing blockages and an uneven spray pattern.
